I've always been a fan of Neil sedaka's comeback.  I think this is his best song.

Still working on this one.  I missed this one some how.  Its written by George Harrison and Tom Petty.  Produced by Jeff Lynne.  It was used on the closing credits of Lethal Weapon 2... which is probably why I've never heard it until recently.  Going to rework the ending but just not feeling it at the moment.

Why have i never heard this song before?  Bumped into this one today.  Will definitely overly some of George's leads to this, and maybe even count out some of the elongated parts.  Always find it tricky to switch to 7/4 time but somehow George makes it feel effortless.  I just didn't think about it :-)

Tony Orlando was hot as shit back in the 70s.  I remember on my street we all had these colorful portable transistor radios, and you could always here this song on WRKO.  Even back then I had a taste for the campy, dixie sort of ragtime sounding tune.  This is a quick recording with no additional parts.  Keeping it simple tonight.  Didn't even do the key change! (on this take anyway)

Heard this one on American Horror Story S04E01.  Couldn't get it out of my head.  Stayed in tonight so, thought I'd give it a try.  I didn't know the song too well and was getting too incapable of playing to figure out the end.  I just kinda winged it.  More and more I consider Bowie one of the absolute best vocalists of his genres.

Alison Moyet is one of my favorite singers from when I was a kid. I felt she had a voice well beyond the genre at the time and still do.  This was always a personal favorite of mine.  Oh and this was my first breakup song.  Sure brings back memories.

I've always loved this song, and the remake by A Taste Of Honey in the early 80s.   But Kyu Sakamoto had the coolest version.. This is my first attempt at singing this.  I've spent all night trying to get the pronunciation right.. I only hope I haven't called anyone's mother a whore.

Have always loved this Neil Sedaka tune.  Even as a kid, there was something about the beat, and the backing vocals.  It was cool to later find out that Elton John did the backing vocals.   I recorded this back in July 2014, and added some of the backing vocals in August.  Never finished it but picked it up today to add the Elton Bad Blood echoing, and the harmonies on the ending.  I also added a 3rd harmony on the Do Run Runs today.
