I've always been a fan of Neil sedaka's comeback.  I think this is his best song.

RIP Rose Marie.  A bit unclear when this one was written, Probably 30s or 40s.  Its credited to  Youmans, Vincent/robin, Leo/grey, Clifford on the Ella Fitzgerald recording. I first heard this one on the Dick Van Dyke show sung by Rose Marie (a personal favorite of mine).

A friend wanted me to learn this song.  I was shocked when I was learning the lyrics when I realised what it was about.   He sent me a backing track and I worked on some vocals.  We are going to give this one a another try I think as well as some other O'Sullivan tunes aws we are both fans.   Saw him in Oslo a couple of year ago.  Awesome show.

I've resisted recording this tune for some time.  This song was featured in Dinner for Schmucks and I remember thinking, this has got to be Sondre Lerche.   This was the last movie that Hans and I saw together in the US before he died.  It now reminds me of him and how you never know when you are doing something for the last time.  It also reminds me of my ferret Sarek.  I intended it to be his theme song... I guess now it is.  I also started learning this on Sondre's birthday... so there you go.

Tony Orlando was hot as shit back in the 70s.  I remember on my street we all had these colorful portable transistor radios, and you could always here this song on WRKO.  Even back then I had a taste for the campy, dixie sort of ragtime sounding tune.  This is a quick recording with no additional parts.  Keeping it simple tonight.  Didn't even do the key change! (on this take anyway)

Heard this one on American Horror Story S04E01.  Couldn't get it out of my head.  Stayed in tonight so, thought I'd give it a try.  I didn't know the song too well and was getting too incapable of playing to figure out the end.  I just kinda winged it.  More and more I consider Bowie one of the absolute best vocalists of his genres.

Alison Moyet is one of my favorite singers from when I was a kid. I felt she had a voice well beyond the genre at the time and still do.  This was always a personal favorite of mine.  Oh and this was my first breakup song.  Sure brings back memories.

Have always loved this Neil Sedaka tune.  Even as a kid, there was something about the beat, and the backing vocals.  It was cool to later find out that Elton John did the backing vocals.   I recorded this back in July 2014, and added some of the backing vocals in August.  Never finished it but picked it up today to add the Elton Bad Blood echoing, and the harmonies on the ending.  I also added a 3rd harmony on the Do Run Runs today.

I discovered the band Split Enz, first in 1980 but then again in 1982. Tim Finn gives and amazing vocal in their song I Hope I Never.  It's always been a favorite.  Had a sore voice the night I recorded this and couldn't hit the high notes. But after listening to this again this morning, I rather quite liked it, so here it is.
