Born from Leo’s collaboration with musician and producer Jon Dixon, it echoes a creative dialogue between two worlds that complement each other: the sunlit soul of Rio and the sophisticated pulse of Detroit’s scene. A pianist, producer, and founder of the 4EVR 4WRD label, Jon Dixon is one of the leading figures in Detroit’s contemporary scene. Trained in jazz and with past involvement in historic projects such as Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Timeline (from Underground Resistance), Dixon has collaborated with legends including Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Derrick May, and Amp Fiddler, while leading initiatives that merge jazz and electronic music under the concept of Hi-Tech Jazz. Redentor features a vibrant arrangement, with piano lines that echo the essence of Detroit jazz, while the groove weaves in guitar riffs that bring a coastal freshness and beats that drive the track’s danceable energy. Subtle and mysterious vocal cuts add a touch of sensuality as the arrangement unfolds progressively, building emotion alongside the ascent of the piano melodies. The result is a balanced blend of soulful and deep tones - a track that encapsulates the dialogue between harmonic sophistication and the warm spirit of house music.
