Chillin' Story

The idea was to take a classic and reinvent it somewhat in the vein of what dynamite hack did with boyz n tha hood only hopefully more sincere and coming from a more informed place less parodical. The Bums should have a full band version of this like we used to play with our old drummer Jesse Mendez sometime soon when we have time to get together and practice and be active.

Don't remember why we recorded this verion of the song, but I believe it was to accompany an acoustic video we did with the Lovely Shireen Alihaji that she later posted on Vimeo. This song is about the baby Jesus being the bastard son of an alien and waiting for the mothership to come in. The Chorus is a chant against evil and the first verse is kind of a message to relax. Remember always that the baby Jesus, our personal favorite version of Jesus, Loves you very much and so do the Dharma Bums.
