I made this for the Maj7 Discord server Cover Ring event of autumn 2021 (it's basically like a secret santa, but instead of buying/receiving gifts, musicians make covers of each other's tracks & have no idea who is making who's until all is revealed in a climactic listen party stream!). Thanks to Jneen Collective and Hypergamestorytime for putting together such an incredibly fun and life-affirming event!!

I had ideas for this piece stored in my head and my keyboard's recording data for a couple of years before I finally assembled the composition. The piece was finished a long time before BrawlQuest started development. I once performed it for my housemate Tom, and he requested that it be made the theme for his game. I was happy to oblige, and thus began my journey as the composer for BrawlQuest!

I was originally going to name it something like 'Uaniloquentia Primum Nomen', which translates to 'Pretentious Name' in Latin (according to Google translate, at least).
