I was doing a small tour in Texas, and the band I was to play with couldn't make this gig. On this recording, it is a pickup band, I met as I was walking to the stage  The first few seconds is a little loose, as I was teaching the song, as we were playing it.,. they caught it, and well... you can decide for yourself.

This is my somewhat passionate arrangement of Chris Isaac's 'Wicked Game.'   I've been heavily criticized, and accused of not being a 'true' Blues Artist for playing such music, outside the Blues Genre.  Amazingly stupid, such a statement. Junior Brown, is an amazing country player.  Lesser known, he is an excellent Blues player, who can play in the strictest traditional styles.

Wicked Game, from the first I heard it, haunted me with it's feel, lyrics, meaning.  This song is one of my all time favorites, and while not Blues, is a passionate song of great emotional depth.
