After shutting down the bot following an incredibly powerful and meaningful temple burn for our camp, many of you thought that was the end of our 2022 Burning Man. However, a few hours later, the bus appeared in deep playa with Nico Stojan at the helm, just in time for one last sunrise. Here's looking forward to many more surprises and unscheduled moments together in 2023.

"What an honor it was to return to the Robot Heart bus for the final sunrise set of last year’s Burn! 

Originally, the Robot Heart team wasn’t planning on playing music Monday morning, so I was super happy when they asked me to play the last sunrise on the playa.

When I arrived at camp early Monday, the RH crew was just waking up and the bus was still sleeping, but there was an excitement in the air - so often it is those unplanned experiences at Burning Man that create the most magic.

We drove out to deep playa in the dark and before long had gained a wonderful crowd, everyone coming together to dance away their final hours in the dust. People were exhausted, but also energized from their week in the desert and not ready to return to the default world.

It was a super chilled last sunrise set that I thoroughly enjoyed - an unexpected morning that turned out to be unforgettable!"

Thanks to all the happy faces who stayed up all night or who set their dusty alarm clocks to come and dance with us Wednesday morning. Having been on the other side of the speakers for many a sunrise it was a treasured moment to play this music, which holds a lot of emotions for many of us.

We want to thank Fleetwood Mac for the original magic and Robot Heart for creating the opportunity to crank it loud and proud. Fleetmac Wood - Robot Heart 10 Year Anniversary - Burning Man 2017

Something that once seemed like a distant dream,  seven years ago during my first Burning Man, actually became a reality for me three years ago when I played the Robot Heart bus for the first time. I was beyond happy to make my way back for their 10 year anniversary this past summer. 

I have been greatly inspired through so many special dusty mornings at Robot heart, and have made countless friends and unforgettable memories over the years.

I owe a lot to my changing the style and direction of my music to my first Burning Man and me experiencing Robot heart there. I am forever thankful for their existence and hope they will live on for many more years to come! Happy 10th anniversary :)
