This is a demo recording of a song concept that was drafted up by Richards at some point back in 2015. Richards used his guitar skills combined simultaneously alongside playing on his Yamaha '@ home practice keyboard rig set-up' while capturing this demo jam recording!

September 17th, 2016- The duo of music lovers and musicians alike known as "Retroline"(Justin Clem & Joey Richards) created the chords ( by-Clem), lyrics (by-Richards) and rehearsed this track twice together all in the same afternoon. The 3rd rehearsal of the newly created tune, just hours into the creation of this song from scratch was recorded and is the same recording you hear here now!  "Retroline" member Justin "Jay Hollywood" Clem's 8 year old son Zack is heard in this track making his live music career debut with the band performing his 'on point ghost-like enchanting' backing vocals. Young Zack's vocals give the track a refreshing musical edge that takes the songs title "Eyes Of A Child" to a whole other level of interpretation!

December 10th, 2016- With a classical nylon string guitar in hand Richards got the urge for some Tom Petty. After a quick Google search of the lyrics and guitar chart for Petty's hit song "Won't Back Down" the record button was mashed on Joey's cell phone and sweet music was made! Joey's first ever live concert experience was when he attended a Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers show live in Noblesville, Indiana while the band was on tour during the mid 1990's.

Joey came up with the basic chords for this song 12 years prior to this recording of the tune. The lyrics and song were finalized 2 years later during the winter of 2006 by Richards. On the morning of December 25th, 2016 during a Christmas worship set with the group Latter Rain, Richards had an impromptu inner drive come upon him to play the song and share it publicly. After a short explanation of the songs origins Richards was then in the moment and quite literally on the spot accompanied by Latter Rain front-man Joel Hoard on acoustic box drums as they performed the track for the first time ever together. This was also the 1st time the song had been preformed live in several years as well outside the realm of a few friends and relatives hearing Richards play it here and there throughout the years . The congregation embraced the never before heard ballet and its poetic references of the song writers personal perceptions of Jesus Christ which are lyrically presented in innuendo-like woven lines amongst the songs chorus.

Joey Richards is known best for his musical works as the former lead guitarist/original song writer & poet of  the '60's rock dance cover band' ; "The Duh", the 'Christian worship band' ; "Latter Rain" and the 'rock n' roll acoustic/electric shredding duo' known as "Retroline". Richards was born In Jacksonville, Fla. He was raised in Nashville, Tennessee & Indianapolis, Indiana where he later graduated high school from in spring 2004. During the end of the summer in 2004, Richards relocated to Traverse City, Michigan. Richards married Katie Anderson in the fall of 2006 and spent the following 6 years working/serving in the United States Army. Since 2004 and as of mid 2017 Richards has resided in northern Michigan with his best-friend and spouse of 11 years, along with their 2 pups 'Morrison' & 'Morello'. Both dogs "ironically" (wink-wink) carrying their names in honor of 2 of the America music industry's top icons of all time, 'The Doors' frontman Jim "Mr.Mojo Rising" Morrison & 'Rage Against The Machine' , 'Audioslave' & 'Prophets of Rage' Harvard Law School graduate and guitarist/song writer/political activist and poet Tom Morello.
