A short bio:
Homicide is a Defunct hip-hop outfit from Bandung, Indonesia. Homicide is not only pioneering the real hiphop sounds in Bandung and maybe in Indonesia, they're also marked as one of the most significant groups Bandung ever produced. They combined street battle verses with political consciousness and punk rock ethics, backed with musics that deep rooted in the tradition of New York's jeep beats and avantguard's fearless noises. With influences ranging from Rakim to Marvin Gaye, Public Enemy to This Heat to The Last Poet to Crass and Neurosis, they're also known for their dedication in local activism and democratic grass root movement, no wonder if they're thightly connected to the local punk/HC scene and local resistance network as well. They didnt only save Indonesian hiphop scene from the bling-bling storm but also calling out an insurection during Suharto's regime. Being hated by zealouts from a number of organized religions they lived their words to the fullest (a bio taken from a Subciety Records' Press Release).

Terbuang Terasingkan dipilih menjadi single terbaru Joey The Gangster yang dirilis secara exclusive oleh Eastern Wolves Music pada tanggal 26 Juni 2016 di website official www.eastern-wolves.com/music, lagu ini juga menjadi single kedua JTG selepas single “Anti Solusi” yang telah dirilis pada tahun 2015 lalu. Kedua single tersebut akan hadir bersama empat lagu lainnya di dalam debut EP album mereka yang bertajuk “Barisan Kebencian” dan akan dirilis di bulan Agustus 2016 oleh Eastern Wolves Music.

Single Terbuang Terasingkan bercerita tentang para tenaga kerja Indonesia (TKI) atau kaum buruh kasar yang merasa terbuang dan tak berpeluang di negara sendiri lalu mencoba peruntungan sebagai pahlawan devisa negara dengan membuka jalan mengkais rezeki di negara asing untuk kelangsungan hidup keluarga mereka di kampung halaman. Kaum buruh yang hidup di bawah kekuasan kaum kapitalis mendapatkan pelanggaran-pelanggaran kekerasan, hidup terisolasi, terjajah, terdiskriminasi dan bahkan mereka tidak tahu cara untuk pulang kerumah. Mereka layaknya berperang memerdekaan dirinya sendiri. Lirik dalam lagu ini juga mengambarkan pekatnya pangkat, kekuasaan, diskriminasi sosial dan pelangaran hak asasi manusia.

Reuni - 6 Song Reunion EP

Mereka kembali. 

Lahir tahun 1994 di Bandung, band ini mengalami kejayaannya sampai sekitar tengah tahun 2000an. Masing-masing personilnya lalu sibuk menjalani kehidupannya masing-masing sampai kemudian mereka bertemu lagi di sebuah konser reuni tahun 2011 lalu. 

Dari situ, rencana merilis materi baru pun bergulir. Badik, Feby, Jojon, Barus, Ramdan, meskipun tidak selalu bersama-sama kembali meluangkan waktu untuk memasuki studio. 

Proses rekaman disela jadwal padat masing-masing personil, mengambil waktu Maret sampai November 2012. 3 lagu dari album terdahulu dan 3 lagu dari materi yang dibuat saat mereka konser reuni di 2011 pun dijadikan satu dalam EP 6 Song Reunion. 

Single Kafir di rilis untuk memberi gambaran tentang mereka sekarang. Kejutannya tentu saja ada, salah satunya, Balcony menggandeng Homicide di satu lagu yang akan di rilis dalam EP nanti.

One of the finest punk rock unit from Bandung. Formed in 13 February 2008, Joey The Gangster name is taken from Latin America / Europe gangster with bold attitude against tyranny, discrimination and oppression from the government with their corrupt leader. The have strong influence from 90’s punk rock band such as Pennywise, Anti-Flag and Bad Religion.
