Cucak Hijau or Cucak Ijo is a Greater Green Leafbird (Chloropsis sonnerati). The name of this native Indonesian bird is Cica-Daun Besar, but among bird lovers it is more often referred to as Cucak Ijo, Cucak Hijau, or Murai Daun. Even though it is often called 'cucak', Cucak Hijau is not a merbah or cucak-cucakan family and is not in the same tribe as Cucak Rowo.

The Big Leaf Cica or commonly referred to as the Green Cucak is a member of the Chloropseidae family. The Latin name for this bird is Chloropsis sonnerati Jardine & Selby, 1827. In English it is known as the Greater Green Leafbird. This species is closely related to Small-leaf Cica (C. cyanopogon), Blue-winged Cica-leaf (C. cochinchinensis), Golden-Leaf Cica-Leaf (C. aurifrons), and Sumatran Cica-Leaf (C. venusta).

Medium in size, the Cica-leaf Besar or Cucak Ijo bird has a body length of about 22 cm. Body hair, as the name implies, is dominated by bright green (leaf green). The throat is green in male birds and yellow in females. It has a lustrous blue malar strip on the side of the chin and a bluish freckle on the shoulders. The iris is dark brown in color, while the beak and legs are bluish gray.
