Influenced and inspired by the current state of the world and a semester of studies in sustainable development. Also somewhat hastily composed, practiced and recorded to serve as part of the final exam in said studies.

Requiem for Earth

With brand new strings (Rotosound 0.13 - 0.56), this piece just "came to me", as music has a wonderful tendency to do from time to time. Inspired by the prospect of new beginnings, having something to look forward to, thus also dealing with the cold, dark now and trying to look at it from the bright side.

Eight Weeks to April

Recorded within 24 hours after returning from the amazing Urkult festival i northern Sweden. Few events in my life have given me this amount of inspiration, and the improvised session was ~11 minutes of pure flow before editing. I've finally gotten some proper recording equipment and basic editing skills. I also spent the day in "foreplay" with my guitar - thorough cleaning, polishing and putting on new strings. The Jojk-singing is recorded from the inaugural "Eldnatten" at Urkult, as is the sound of Nämforsen (seen on the picture). So with new recording equipment, new strings, newfound inspiration and a brand new tuning (EADEBe)I give you "Urkultur", enjoy!

Hello! I'm a self-taught guitarist and composer. Influences range from Carlos Martinez, Yamandú Costa and Jorge Drexler to Bert Jansch, Davy Graham, Nick Drake and, of course, Led Zeppelin. I play a steel-string Breedlove Passport Plus C250 and a cheap nylon Salvador Ibañez G5TECE-AM. I've finally gotten around to setting up some proper recording equipment and will start editing my material properly, starting with "Urkultur". Most of my uploads before that are recorded on a Yamaha Pocketrak.
