In early 2014 Alessandro (Vocals, Keys), Simon (Drums), Florien (Bass) and Philip (Guitar) formed the band “Copy Of A Golden Sketch”, based in lovely Dresden. Under the genre of alternative rock they create a very distinctive sound which settles between ambient and grooving sound scapes. Pounding drums are forged together with in-your-face guitars accompanied by ripping synth sequences. You can clearly hear influences such as Incubus, Vessels, Motorpsycho, Warpaint, James Blake but also Animals as Leaders or Porcupine Tree. With their self-recorded, two-part EP “Golden Sketches” the band offers a tasty insight of their live set capabilities.

a moment apart

Holger "Holli" Kenzler was a well-known homeless in Dresden Neustadt. He lived at Kamenzer Straße in front of a parking garage and someone even painted him his own living room on the wall. Holli often was banished by the police but always returned there. He was found dead in the beginning of 2015. This track is dedicated to him. It is featured in the documentary "The New City - Das bunte Dresden" by Spanish filmmaker Javier Sobremazas. (link to film: https://www.facebook.com/TheNewCityDasBunteDresden/)
