Supramental Kingdom of drums and percussions meets with new day...Three figures, dressed in clothing, created from iridescent colors, synchronized with surrounding space, going deeply through the forest to find a cozy and creative place...Each step moves a whole scattering of levitating notes into air and after, this rhythmic constructions going to free wanderings...Gradually the vegetation recedes introducing to us a glade, ideally suited to all planned and necessary aspects, invented by this mysterious wanderers...Without hesitation they have already begun to create only them well-known act...Zen...Tuk-Tuk...Dynamic chain of sounds surrounding us, combining with industrial impressions deeply penetrating into DNA, cleansing & harmoniously structuring and rushed upwards...

Tuk-Tuk is a experimental project/universe for personal freedom and independence of musicians from St. Petersburg, in the person of: Mårble, Purple Uncle and Misha Sultan...We are listening recording of live, improvisational performance, created by the guys, what became a new chapter of Amateur Exotic mixtales...

In 2015, JD Twitch's Autonomous Africa label released Youth Stand Up!, a triangular recording project hatched at Glasgow’s Green Door Studio that brought together young musicians from Belize, Ghana and Glasgow for ten tracks of cross-cultural collaboration. The result was an infectious cocktail of traditional Caribbean and West African rhythms, hip hop, highlife and Glaswegian post-punk, featuring contributions from Optimo Music regulars Golden Teacher and Whilst, among others.

The proceeds from that project went directly back to the youth groups in Ghana and Belize, helping the musicians from Ghana’s Tafi Cultural Institute build a recording studio and performance space in their village.

Two years later, a grant from Creative Scotland’s Open Fund spawned the sequel to Youth Stand Up!: Youth Stand United, recorded both at Green Door and at TCI’s new studio in Ghana (with Golden Teacher’s Laurie Pitt at the controls), and mixed by Green Door’s Stuart and Emily Evans.

Youth Stand United features backing tracks contributed by members of Golden Teacher, Pu$$y Mothers, Whilst, Kaputt, and Sordid Sound System, with vocals provided by the musicians from TCI. Over 6 songs, it oscillates from the left-field disco of Diloeshutubui to the Juju-electro odyssey of Gidi to the Joe-Meek-meets-William Onyeabor space age gospel pop of Nobody Knows.

Proceeds from Youth Stand United will go towards a scholarship fund for musicians from Tafi Atome, Ghana.

Back in October 2019 we had Oscar der Winzige as a guest for Past Forward in the Cashmere Radio headquarters. Due to some unfortunate, technical issues on this evening we weren’t able to upload the recording of the show. However, Oscar was kind enough to record a mix for us instead and we are super happy to present you his mind-bending selection of unknown tunage.

What Johan does in the DJ both can be compared with what a court jester used to do for the king, he offers a unique mix of devilishly good entertainment. Rhythms that will make you fall headfirst into an underworld where you get caught up in a jumble of sad clowns and magical creatures who together create an epos worthy of a hysterical circus manège. He would make grandmas blush of embarrassment, he’s a time shifter and a shape shifter for the awkward outdated and corny super heavy deep cheesy hardcore style that transforms in all gods given shapes and corners of basically all genres there is, blending it to oblivion bolivian goat funk. He does it, like no other. He lives royal, he plays royal!
