My current DJ setup:
I'm using Novation Launch Control XL and Roland TR-8 to control 14 channels in Ableton. Two main channels are for the finished tracks you see in the tracklist, one channel is for my kick+bass loops which I like to add here and there to make it more interesting, four are for different types of percussion loops, two for snare and hihat which are controlled from the TR-8 sequencer and the rest are extra sounds like cymbal noises and snare rolls to use mostly during transitions.
