The Inspirations Volume 04 [90's Trance]

London techno renegade @jeromehill is absolutely one of my favorite dance music producers / dj's. Although he made his name with techno, he is also equally versatile with electro, breaks, old skool rave, and more. His labels Don't, Super Rhythm Trax and Bleeper have been responsible for some of the finest dance tracks in recent years (in my opinion, of course!) and they are a must for anyone who likes to hear new reimaginings of old skool sounds, from jacking Chicago house to banging acid to Northern bleeps n' bass. So therefore I am very excited to drop this tribute mix, pulled together entirely on vinyl - I've managed to pull stuff from almost all of his back catalogue here. Enjoy!

Known as the man behind the scenes, Josh has been at the forefront of the harder sound of Chicago where he started out with good friend, Angel Alanis.  Growing up under the influences of Chicago House & Industrial which easily paved the road for where Josh is today.  From pushing forward the concept of the infamous mixtape stands simply called Mix Shop, to running a couple of Chicago's top forward thinking record stores, Hip House & Supreme in the 90's. Hip House turned into the Chicago Mecca for Hard Techno & Acid Techno stocking Punish, Compound, Planet Rhythm, Pounding Grooves, Construct Rhythm, Hydraulic Bionic Orange, R.A.W. & so forth. In the 90's & early 00's; Josh helped kick-start Static Records, Freak Mode, Dirty Fabric & a few others plus starting up FADEDMUZIK alongside longtime friend, Alex Peace.  In early 2001, Josh left the stores to take over direct sales & distribution for Bad Boy Bill's, MCM (parent company of IHR, Moody, Contaminated, Canvas & Motus) where he eventually became A&R for Contaminated, IHR & Moody giving him the ability to work with some of the world's top notch producers like Paul Johnson, CZR, Robbie Rivera, Joey Beltram, Hatiras, Headroom, Slobodan, WJH, Paul Langley, Ian Void, Bam Bam & countless others.  During this time Josh became the Techno buyer @ Another Level on Chicago's Southwest Side w/ Submerge and all the customers followed.  

Today, besides being a family man & running a household with 3 kids... Josh and childhood friend Mark Therblig, run 2 digital labels, Chicago Jaxxx & Mastoid Kollektive. Both have gained great respect from some of the heavy hitters in the world of Techno w/ countless releases ending up on Dave Clarke's White Noise including Josh Moseley's Chicago Jack'D hitting the White Noise Top Techno of 2013.
