Johan is a film composer currently based in Los Angeles, CA, and originally from Manila, Philippines. He has an extensive background in working on various features and short films shown at prestigious film festivals such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Bristol Film Festival. He has also created scores for projects that span multiple countries like the USA, UK, Canada, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Additionally, Johan's music has been recorded at a number of studios including Silent Zoo Studios in Glendale, CA, and the Warner Bros. Eastwood Scoring Stage in Burbank, CA.

His musical training includes a Bachelor's Degree in Music Production from the De La SalleCollege of St. Benilde in the Philippines and participation in the BMI/NYU TV Scoring Workshop Summer as a part of the 2020 batch. He has also studied film scoring and orchestration privately under the mentorship of numerous composers. Johan finished his Master of Music in Screen Scoring at the prestigious USC Thornton's Masters Program.

He continues to write music for film, television, and other forms of visual media. He is passionate about the art of storytelling through music and the collaboration brought about by the filmmaking process.
