Let There Be Light

With the Broken Radio Version of "Die Nacht Der Welt #1" i started a series of 12 pieces for piano, composed during the summer months of 2022. The pieces reflect my feelings and my perspective on the current state of the world in a very personal way. The title refers to a quote from Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel: “Man is this night,
this empty nothing that contains everything in its simplicity
- a wealth of infinitely many ideas, images, none of which occurs to him at the moment - ,
or which are not as present.
This the night, the interior of nature,
this is PURE SELF existing,
- in phantasmagorical imaginations it is around night, here a bloody head shoots,
- there suddenly another white shape appears, and disappear as well
- This night one sees,
when you look people in the eye
- into a night that's going to be TERRIBLE,
- the night of the world hangs in front of you here.

In this night, beings have receded -
But the movement of this power is also posited. ”

I've returned to what I consider my own sound (this time it's not a solo piano song).

The piece is inspired by memories and the ability of our brains to 'weave' (or 'knit'?) those memories.
