#28 - Johannes Laine on nuori sarjayrittäjä (tosin käyttää itse mielummin sanaa sarjainnostuja), joka uskaltaa unelmoida ja tehdä niiden eteen töitä. Johannes hyppää herkästi suoraan kohti tuntematonta ja kehittelee asioita joista ei aluksi tiennyt yhtään mitään. Yrittäjyys tuli vastaan 21-vuotaiaana, kun hän aloitti opinnot Tiimiakatemiassa Jysväskylässä. Se on koulu jossa heti toisena viikkona luokka perustaa yhdessä yrityksen ja oppivat siinä sitten käytännön kautta merkonomiksi. #36 - I stumbled upon a video about a professional cuddling service. https://youtu.be/rJHXN_5lFAk I felt curious about it and contacted the founders, told them I was coming to New York and wanted to meet a cuddling professional and talk about their work. So the founders put me together with Ella and here we meet at her apartment at Washington Heights and I ask her what this cuddling service is all about. We also talk about love and relationships, Ella has some beautiful conclusions about what she has learned through the cuddling work. She feels grateful about the opportunity to get to know so many people and also to see how important communication is in relationships. Ella sees the importance of really asking for what you want and to be clear with your desires and to be in touch with yourself. Not to settle for mediocre relationships, lack of communication, lack of affections, lack of intimacy, because we all deserve that.

Here I meet with Rachel, we were connected through a common friend. We don't know from before, only though a very brief email exchange. Pretty soon in the discussions I noticed how much we have in common, it is beautiful when this happen. We were talking about death, sensibility, relationships, accepting who you are and the difficult topic of self love.

Kalle on opiskellut valokuvausta Hollannin Haagissa, jossa valokuvakirjan formaatti tuodaan vahvasti mukaan opintoihin niiden alusta alkaen. Hän hakeutui myös Andrew Phelpsin oppiin, avartamaan tietouttaan muun muassa valokuvakirjojen tekemisestä. Selailemme yhdessä Phelpsin teoksia sekä Kallen omien kirjojen luonnosversioita.

One evening of my New York trip, I guess I was pushing this a little, remember being very tired. I was going to meet Sarika and Krishan, again a contact made through Maria. As with all these meetings, I was not really knowing what to expect, just arriving to a new space with an open heart. And once again, this was a magical meeting. 

We shared our experiences of relationships, how to foster it even through difficult times. I talk about my experience as a father of three kids, the youngest one having special needs and spending a lot of time in the hospital and how to foster the partnership in periods of life when you don't really see each other that often. As I state in the discussion: "Life isn't perfect and it is not supposed to be." We start the discussion with the story of Sarika and Krishan and how they met. I then share my experiences of my life and what my daughter Lilja has teached me about love and gratitude.

I’m ending this New York chapter with a meeting with Samuel Budin. I started talking with him at a farmers market in the street. He asked me what he was doing there and I told him about my podcast project. He found that interesting and said he had thought a lot about love recently. Naturally I got curious. Samuel is a photographer and writer, he had written a piece about his separation with his girlfriend, I asked if I could see it and he sent it to my e-mail. I read it in the evening and immediately replied if he would have time to meet for a chat. My time in New York was very limited but I am happy we found a time to meet.

“Mut hei tsemppiä arkeen” är en podcast där vi behandlar vardagen i specialbarnsfamiljer, med perspektiv från två föräldrar och ett syskon. Vi diskuterar temat “en bra vardag”, vad betyder det egentligen? Hur ser vardagen ut då det känns att allting är en enda utmaning? Kan man hitta ingredienserna av en bra vardag mitt bland allt det jobbiga?

Dessa tre första avsnitt är gjorda i samband med “Minua kuullaan” -projektet. “Minua kuullaan” är ett projekt där man utvecklar tjänster för barnfamiljer tillsammans med barn och unga med funktionsvariation och deras föräldrar. Mer info om projektet kan man läsa på webben, minuakuullaan.fi

I poddarna diskuterar jag med en mamma, en pappa och ett vuxet syskon. Två av poddarna är på finska och detta avsnitt är på svenska. Här i seriens andra avsnitt träffar jag Emil Heikinheimo, vars dotter har en eskalerande nervbaserad muskelsjukdom. Hon var 3 år gammal då hon fick diagnosen och är nu 6 år. Vi pratar om vardagen, hur det kändes då de fick veta om sjukdomen och hur det har påverkat familjens liv efter det.
