The ballet “Cecilia and Santiago” is based on a legend of the historian and writer from the 20th century Cayetano Coll y Toste.  The piece is an elaborated fusion of colors and recurrent cadence rhythm structures.  These rhythmic approaches are oriented to the utilization of native rhythm such as “Bomba” (typical puertorrican folklore genre), especially the pattern of the “Yuba”, that can be easily recognised. The constant and consonant melodies are sustained by colourful harmonies that emphasize the drama and momentum of this story. The story, a puerto rican version Romeo and Juliet, highlights the beauty, passion, hope as well as the pain and death that leads to the victory of love above all things.
The plot of the ballet is reinforced for the majesty of the structure and the details meticulously designed and developed.

La Suite Bombástica hace honor a los ritmos costeros de la isla de Puerto Rico. La selección de toques tradicionales (Sicá, Yubá, Holandé,) intenta expandir los conceptos rítmicos, adaptándolos a las ricas sonoridades del arpa y cello. 
Cada uno de los movimientos de esta suite explora los ritmos de bomba en conjunto con mi lenguaje melódico y armónico, y a través del mismo logran una unidad estructural.
Los motivos melódicos y rítmicos, al igual que las melodías recurrentes engrandecen los ritmos y colores de nuestra descendencia africana.

Celebration is dedicated to all the artists supported and inspired by the Arts Club of Washington.

Determination, strength, and passion, are a few emotions that projected on my mind while thinking about the celebration, a great and deserved triumph. It is that precise moment when the satisfaction of the effort is fully experimented. Also where every tear, idea, and dream is remember with sentiment. 
Celebration piano trio intends to contextualize in music aesthetics, all of these powerful emotions. Each melody is moved by an incomparable energy that transforms gradually. The constant pulse framing the piece, which in turn is driven by rhythmic motives, simulates this vast energy. The ocean of harmonies, colors, and texture flows into a passive reflection moment. This contrasting section evokes the necessity of achieving the most desire aspiration, as well as honoring the 19th century court dances in Puerto Rico and Cuba. Without preface, the principal theme resurges with such a glorious and intense significance. It Suggest sentiment and convictions in believes, hopes, and memories. Celebration is a dance that praises victory, honor, and glory of the dreams, passions, and love.

Videntes Stellam by Johanny Navarro is a composition for chorus and full orchestra, commissioned by the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music of The Catholic University of America. The piece is inspired by the story of three wise men who came to visit the Child Jesus.

Premiered in The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on December 2, 2016. Washington D.C.
