The inception of In the Moog started when John Baptiste leant Scionaugh a Moog Mother 32. Scionagh used this opportunity to explore slower tempos focussing on evolving leads and infectious rhythms.

In the Moog blends sleek digital psy-trance sound design with warm analogue instrumentation combining the best parts of psy trance and techno to make a release that is truly psy-tech. 
Influences of the outdoors and the Australian bush, this release highlights the Australian bush techno sound. Every single track on here is produced at a world-class level of quality. 

This is a homage to the genre that has inspired this talented artist and ourselves so much over the years and working with our favourite Aussie artists is just an indescribable honor.

John Baptiste is a Melbourne based DJ and producer, represented by Euca Music Artist Management alongside other celebrated artists such as Doppel, Taya Mills, EEEMUS and Somersault.
His recent single ‘Buddha Belly’, released on UGENIUS Music, won high praise from Australian techno fans across the board as he looks forward to releasing more quality techno this year.
 
BIOGRAPHY | LIAM SEIKER
 
Melbourne based producer Liam Sieker has played at venues across the city including renowned parties at Killing Time, My Aeon, Brown Alley and Revolver Upstairs, as well as festivals like Babylon Festival, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Esoteric Festival. 
A relatively new name on the scene, Seiker has already found himself billed alongside huge names like Oliver Huntemann, Charlotte De Witte, Waveback, Nanoplex, Ben Coda, DNOX and Nick Warren.
His psychedelic, progressive stylings has won him praise across the electronic music scene, with his music being played on D-Formations radio show by techno superstar Betoko.

A rainforest sanctuary. A phenomenon neglected from every atlas.

Colours, shapes, creatures native to the sunburnt bushlands, fill the labyrinth. A truly distinctive display of vibrance. The passageway walls are penetrated by beams of light that set aglow greens and golds, purples and blue hues. Darkness occupies the leafy edge and ominous corners, shrouding the maze in thrill.

The journey takes many forms. The destination unbeknownst to those within the labyrinth, but the destination remains unimportant.

⇸ About 'Labyrinth, Lost In Techno 02' ⇷

Bassic Records’ second instalment of ‘Labyrinth, Lost In Techno’ showcases the definitive and colourful styles of Australian electronic dance music, ever growing in popularity. Influenced heavily by nature and the unique dance events that take place in the great outdoors, the sound takes form as progressive and psychedelic jaunts of techno and house, driven by emotive storytelling.

The 14 track compilation comprises of label stalwarts Doppel, Gabriel Moraes, Ark-E-Tech, Rainbird, TAYA, EEEMUS, John Baptiste, Käse Kochen, Monotreme, Victor Y, and collaborators Nanoplex (UK), Waveback (IT), Mud (IT/DE), Spintribe (RU), Diamandy (SE), Sandokan (IL), Charles Oliver, Biomass, Mecca, Samwise and Yokobus.

Sitting at an average of 125bpm, the compilation reaches a beefy 127 with ‘Spurge’ by Gabriel Moraes and is rounded off with the deep intricate closer, Mud’s ‘Mistakes’ at a neat 113bpm. Exploring an array of unique sub genres, some tracks can be identified as progressive techno, progressive house, psytech, deep techno, others are difficult to categorise into anything.

We call it ‘bush techno’.

We are absolutely delighted to share with the world the first release of Euphorie Bezirk records, the long awaited brain child of Australian artists Handsdown & Leigh Boy, with a focus on dark, emotional and progressive minimal and techno.

The first release comes in the form of a huge E.P from Melbourne producer and friend John Baptiste, a vocal bomb that pulses through its entirety - tied together with crisp percussion and bass, as well as the incredible voice of Aishah Espinosa, culminating in a huge moment perfect for dance floors big and small. 

The E.P includes remixes from UK progressive royalty Ben Coda (of Nanoplex) and Meat Katie as well a non vocal dub mix.

We are excited for the next chapter of this journey and cannot wait to share these vibrations with you all. Thanks for listening x

From what spawned as an idea between two friends in a bedroom many moons ago has evolved into such an amazing family and a movement for the upcoming and emerging artists of Australia on the same wavelength. The bushfires that ravaged our home of Australia between September 2019 - February 2020 are one of the most savage and disastrous natural events that the country has ever known.

Over 25.5 million hectares of land were burnt (110,000+ square kilometres), 3000+ homes destroyed, 30 people and more than 1 billion mammals, birds and reptiles died.

100% of the proceeds from each sale of Bushfire Aid VA Series Part 1 and Part 2 will officially go directly to the Australian Wildlife Conservency’s Bushfire Response Campaign, as they work tirelessly in the field to protect numerous species of animals that are now endangered and threatened due to the bushfire season disaster of 2019/20.

Upon donating, aside from the music you will also receive a pdf file from AWC themselves with specifics on the Bushfire Response Campaign that you will be supporting with your donation.

Bassic Records has banded together 34 of Australia’s best electronic music producers to create the Bushfire Aid VA Series - 27 tracks, across 2 albums, spanning deep melancholic electronica and house, through to dark and emotive progressive techno. Not one of us is unaffected by this disaster, be it directly, emotionally or chord struck within our soul.

Everyone involved in this release has donated their time and skills to this cause.
