Vanitas

Wee tribute to a web site that had a big influence on me in it's heyday. Musically, politically and socially https://www.uk-dance.org 

I was pretty new to the web and this was the first space I gravitated towards and was instantly obsessed. And I was a complete moron newbie, but found my feet eventually and met some great people there. We swapped mixtapes and made lots of other musical connections. But the twice daily mail out of discussions were epic.

Not sure why 2-step always reminds me of uk-d. I guess it was a uniquely UK sound at the time.

Title is wanky. I got a bit bored with the McQueen documentary one night and went off and started making this track. Working title was McQueen. And then I named it Vanitas after one of his artworks. I should have just stuck to McQueen!
