A compilation album comprised of the best tracks thus far by artist & producer, KING D OVER E.

This particular record draws inspiration from a thought-provoking encounter when I was questioned about my habit of sitting with my legs crossed. Initially responding with a simple "because I do," I later found myself contemplating the significance of such trivial matters. Why do individuals attach importance to superficial aspects that hold no true meaning to one's identity? This introspection fueled my creative process, leading me to craft a record whose lyrics poignantly convey the notion that outward actions may differ from the essence of who I truly am. Hence, the title "CRISSCROSS" symbolizes the act of navigating between various states—alternating between different perspectives, directions, and dimensions—while remaining authentically myself.

Even today, modern politicians are educated by what's been dubbed a "manual of statecraft", penned by the so-called Father of Modern Political Philosophy and Political Science, the 16th century Venetian, Niccolò Machiavelli. 

In Machiavelli's book, The Prince, they are taught that no matter how evil the means that they employ are, to achieve victory, the ends will justify those means. Then as the victors, all they have to do is to rewrite the history, to present themselves as the good guys.

Last night, I dreamed of Machiavelli,
Who, it seems, hasn’t learned much since the days of the Medici.
His pretext of seizing power for the ‘good of God’,
Was straight out of the playbook of Cesar Borgia....
So it seemed from my talk with poor, deluded Niccolo.

He plied me with cunning plots and plans,
Dripping in evil criminality, and base intent
To create chaos for the existing world order
No means was too foul, not even murder.

The end will justify the means, my dear,

It is the means themselves which create the evil

Because the way, the means, IS the destination.
