I was inspired to pick up my ukulele recently.  I hadn’t played it all summer until a couple of days ago.  You know Hawaii has been in the news.  Maui suffered a catastrophic wildfire.  So I hope and pray for their comfort and consolation.  🙏. I co-wrote this song with my bandmates at that time.  We released this track on a demo cassette in 1996.  I quit the band in 1997 and then the band was defunct in the 2000's.

Instant Band is a fully improvisational jam session every weekend in Long Beach, California.  Every attendee gets to form a band on the spot by choosing musicians present for the band and gets a few minutes to play anything.  I did some of the vocals and played the tambourine.

I was inspired by a woman named Toypurina, the only Native American in the history of North America to stage a revolt against foreign conquering powers.  Her people are called Kizh/ Gabrielino, the original people of Los Angeles.  Infinite Suns is John Felix (guitar and vocals) and Jay Sossomon (guitar and percussion).  This track was recorded live at the Angry Horse Brewery in Montebello, California.

About 15 years ago I was inspired by the band Soulfly to make an instrumental guitar song about Dana D-Low, the step-son of Max Cavalera (the vocalist of Soulfly).  Dana D-Low was tragically killed in a hit-and-run auto accident.  His killers were never caught.  I finally got around to putting it out there!

In Memory of Dana "D-Low" Wells.  He was the step-son of Max Cavalera (vocalist/guitarist of the band Soulfly).  Dana's mother was Gloria Cavalera, the manager of the bands Soulfly and Incite.  He passed away in a hit-and-run auto accident.  The culprit fled the scene and was never caught.
