Named after his middle name, “Agyei” (ah-jay-ee), which means “firstborn” and “Messenger of God,” the project serves as a deeply personal expression of identity, responsibility, and artistry. Produced by the multi-talented Supayouth (Joshua Salcedo) and mixed and mastered by Jamaican engineer Germaine "Big Beast" Ranglin, “AGYEI” brings together lush, ethereal soundscapes that enhance John G’s unique vocal style—soulful, textured, and layered with rich harmonies and adlibs.
