DJ G.I. was born as John Jackson Aug.26th 1988 in Saginaw, Michigan. He has been involved with music for 3 years Producing Beats & Writing Music and has now been Djing for a year now. As a child he has always had an interest in music and even a bigger interest in Making it. Some of his biggest influences have been Biggie, Freeway, Nas,Brother Ali, Black Milk, Atmosphere, Eminem, Tech N9ne, 2 Pac,(NO SPECIFIC ORDER) Twista, Bone Thugz n Harmony, Naughty By Nature, Ludacris, Timberland and many many more. He has alwayz had an ear for music since back in middle school where he first started playing the Saxaphone. As Time Moved on he went on to college for a year before starting out under E-7 Records working on his craft with T.C. Ghost and Dcyfer. After that he met up with F.I.L.O.(First In Last Out) and from that Point on he mainly foucused on Producing Music and Experimental Writing before finding his niche in music. Even with making beats back in High School it all started in the Lunchrooms as he would use his hands to make the sounds for inspiring rappers to go to. Being able to Use his hands to create different sounds and patterns is something that in a sense was made for turntables; so during his Senior Year of College, He started learning how to Dj. And from that point on he has been Doing a Number of Events across the U.P. With The New Up and Coming Label Freedom EnterTainment, and The Dave Brotherton Band! Dj G.I. has teamed up to create a brand new and refreshing Atmosphere in the nightclubs and just about anywhere music is really appreciated.
