Jerome Kern's All The Things You Are on tenor.

This is still in a medium swing groove and about 7 months into my unretirement.

The picture is Jerome Kern, the songwriter.

It's a tough tune, and you can hear a few spots where I'm off just a little bit.  But it's progress and my tone is on the darker side of the spectrum which is where I want it to be.  

This is likely the last recording on my starting tenor.  Something new to me is on its way.

Blues in F.  Basic bop-type changes.  Some attempts at double time within the improvisation.

This started off as Now's the Time.  Lost count of choruses on the track so I filled one chorus with improv and the last one out was Blue Monk in F.

There are some attempts to work in double time in some of the phrases.  Some were good, some not so much.

Trying to maintain practice of clearly defined phrases as opposed to "our lady of the inifinite chorus".

I am now a formally "un-retired" saxophone player.  After a break for life and stuff I'm relearning to play once more. 

All tracks are a definite work in progress from someone who started playing again in June of 2015.
