Fort Wayne, In. – Kids from across Ft. Wayne's south side neighborhoods have been gathering inside the Music Writing/Performance class at McMillen Community Center. The group has been meeting at the Center Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 1pm-3pm, since July 1st. 
 
The class is sponsored and was organized by the McMillen Park Community Center and AFB Kids Club. John Miller, the local president of AFB Kids Club non-profit is also a national recording artist  said, “I wanted to start a Music Reading/Performance class in my hometown to help the kids with there reading, writing and public speaking... by using a music based format. 

The class allows kids to record there favorite songs and perform them in a classroom setting with encouragement from there peers. In exchange, the students are doing more writing, reading and they are starting to tackle one of the greatest fears in life, “Public Speaking”.
