JOHN QUEJIO-The player of flamenco guitar and Singer / Song Writer.

John started to play the guitar when he was 15. It was at his mums friends house party where he was the only child. He picked up a guitar in the living room and managed to play a song in just a couple of hours.That night his mum decided to buy that guitar from her friend for 60 pounds.
Being a single parent John s mum struggled to afford private guitar lessons. He learnt to play guitar listening to the albums of great guitarist such as Jose Feliziano, Paco de Lucia and Eric Clapton. By the time he was 17 he was already playing at a bar in Denmark Street.
After finishing his degree in London John moved to Istanbul. In ten years he managed to release 3 albums working with some of the greatest musicians in the country. His biggest hit was "Gamzeler" which became a classic.
With the Turkish hearts already concored John decided to expand his music carreer and moved to Spain. He played his violin with legends such as Remedios Amaya, Manuela Carrasco, Manuel Molina. Later he began to play at the Carboneria, perhaps the most prestigous flamenco tavern in Spain.  
When even the greatest flamenco artists started to came and listen to him at La Carboneria John felt confident enough to display his talent to a wider audience. 
With the honour of performing live at the Spanish National Radio (RNTE) and many other radio stations around Spain, as well as the theatre Lope De Vega, Quejio moved back to his home town, London. 
Here he began to amaze the croud with his unique style of singing and playing boleros. His great skills earned him the title Eric Clapton of the Flamenco Guitar. 
He became a regular figure on the jazz scenes as important as The Ronnie Scotts and the PizzaExpress. 
Not only singing covers John also sings his original songs such as "Rosa" which was announced as the first flamenco song written in english by the Spanish National Radio. 
Quejio is recognised as the best non spanish flamenco singer by the award wining producer Paco Ortega. Currently the National Television of Spain is making a documentary on how John became a succesfull flamenco musician.
