In ancient Greece and Rome, the brutal elite spoke often of freedom, democracy, and equality, but meant for it to be only among themselves, i.e., freedom for them and lifelong slavery for the vast majority.  It is the same today.  Although the extended political freedoms like voting, travel, and education are deceitful ways to make the power of big money even more complete.  And just as then, the upper middle class that does all the dirty organizing of the exploitation is strung along with the promise of equality and the dulling comforts of suburban life.  It is time to silence their nightmare choir.  True freedom for the majority, the workers, can only be won by taking away the freedom of the businessmen (such an appropriate term for those who are indeed giving us the business).

The photo is of the January 18, 2003 San Francisco march against Congressional approval to invade Iraq.  This event was blacked out by the entire media, like it never happened.  It is the largest anti-war event ever recorded in San Francisco.  So much for freedom of the press.
