No doubts, the great team formed by the georgian brothers Michael & Levan @michaelandlevan and the english artist Stiven Rivic @stivenrivic (Mistique Music, Kunai Records), has been one of the most relevant symbiosis in the progressive house music scene in the last decade. This time, this trio has joined forces to the well known veteran and awesome artist Rick Pier O'Neil (RPO) @rickpieroneil to make this Typhoon EP, in their first appearance on Univack.

The EP includes 2 original tracks tittled Typhoon, and Monsoon. Both tracks are a proof of the hi quality that these artists have when they are in the studio. Two pieces halfway between Progressive House and Tech House, but with elements from others genres like funky, breaks, house, tech... all  of them mixed with surgeon's precision. We have no doubt that these pieces will be in your heavy weapons tracks folder.

Since first appearing together on the progressive house scene back in 2008 on their Mistique Music label, Michael, Levan and Stiven have evolved immensely. Although still widely regarded for their signature sound, more than ever the trio explores a variety of stylistic blueprints, often cross pollinating genres with an effortless ease.

The trio drifts effortlessly through styles, often blurring the lines of conventional genres and as the sound of trio constantly evolves, each Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic production comes with much excitement. Once thought of as purely progressive house artists, nowadays they have become adept at stylistically varied creations.

Morttagua & Maty Owl - Dissonant Shadows (DNYO Remix) [Timeless Moment]

We are delighted to welcome back our favorite Dutch duo Mononoid with their brand-new 'Evolution Transform EP'. The talented duo has been a well-known entity within the scene and have graced some of the world's finest electronic music labels with their unique and lasting productions. The duo developed an inimitable style of music, full of ambiances, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided them to where they are to today and embodies the sound they now personify. People regularly equate their productions as opaque and vivid in equal measures. 

On their return the duo leads with the outstanding opening track 'Evolution Continues'; a stunning driving melodic progressive house affair. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an ingeniously worked piece of art.

The melodic soundscapes of the accompanying title track 'You Transform' rounds off this spectacular release. Andy & Igor's influences are immediately evident as subtle freeform concepts drift through percussive inspired instrumentations. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, complemented by a subtle groove that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception. Stunningly textured pads that warm the soul and a strong melodic infused bassline provide the base for this inspired piece to play out in delayed glory. Essential stuff!

With Mononoid's return to ICONYC, they take their talents a step further to round off this brilliant underground 2 track crowd pleaser. The German artist Pirmin Kenk who makes his Astral Records debut. Inspired by the likes of Tale Of Us, Mathame and Colyn, the Freiburg resident distorts and dissolves the reality you know, taking you on a journey somewhere between space, time and your desires. Although early into his journey as a producer, Pirmin has already found a home on Awen Tales, Revelation and Usanza, where his textural sound has found footing. Here he adds Astral Records to his resume with the trance-inducing sounds of 'Cloud Scent'. Expansive at nearly nine minutes in length, its melodic prowess proves irresistible, with emotive arps, fluttery motifs and glowing swells setting the course for an enlightening break and goosebump worthy finale.
