Our Kyiv friend recorded this story at a small private party for friends. This story turned out to be quite inspiring, filled with bright energy, which Maxim shares with you. There is a few word from Max:

"I've been following the Povilno label for a long time and it's an honor to collaborate with them. Initially I was preparing a downtempo mix of tracks minimally related to ethno and near east, but my friends came to visit me with wine and everything turned out to be the opposite. Accordingly the mix was recorded in one take"..

This year in anticipation of the 2nd Annual DH & Friends Holiday Spectacular (info below) I’ve decided to give out some presents.  I’m calling it the 12 days of remixes and I’ll be sharing all of the un-released remixes and edits I’ve made and have been playing in my DJ sets over the last couple years.  Every day between now and the Holiday Spectacular on December 13th I’ll be positing new music on my soundcloud - the remixes and edits include Beyoncé, Nils Frahm, Tyondai Braxton, Empress Of,  Steve Reich, and more…today, to get things started, here’s one of my favorite Michael Jackson tune and one of a special collaboration between Nico’s label Other People and my good friend Tlac’s new drum-tech project Sunhouse.

The latest instalment from @Roam-Recordings comes from acclaimed Belgian producer and DJ @CabaretNocturne who has previous releases on labels such as Beachcoma, My Favorite Robot, Nein, Factor City, and Rotten City.  

His new EP for Roam Recordings is a fine addition to his already excellent discography. The title track Western Ghost sets the stage for this EP that sounds like it could be from a movie set somewhere in the desert outside of LA. 

The Western Ghost EP  comes with one other original 'Lost Town' and rounded off with excellent remixes from Kieran Holden and Damon Jee. Both of these accomplished producers take on one of the originals and deliver their own spin within the theme of this EP.

John Lemke is a Glasgow based artist, originally from Berlin.

Working across a great variety of media he has spent the last years exploring music and all things sonic through collaborations, live performance, film sound design and especially his work as a documentary film composer.

Motivated by fusing elements of his more emotive film composition approach with rhythm and space, John has created a distinctive sound world on his forthcoming debut solo album, where abstracted guitar landscapes collide with percussive, prepared piano and disembodied vocal textures to form a danceable, electro-acoustic whole.
