Remix of a tune by Preston's The KBC...and such a dramatic detour from their mainstream sound, that the band completely blanked it.
Well done to them I say.

Here's the (I hope) final mixdown of the remix I have just completed for the very talented US band Veronneau.

Here is my first attempt at a tune circa 2001. Beautifully produced and engineered by Steve Cartmell.  Produced under the name The Time Flies!
We were working for an international conference company, and a rather strange answerphone message was left by this character (Jeffrey Martin Lichtmann).

 I'm not sure if he was mad, or an artist, or what, but I couldn't believe what I heard, and Steve agreed to help me edit it and turn it into a tune. I'm still quite proud of it. Steve provided the techy know-how and added the pads and harmonic structure.

They say to succeed in music you should specialise.  These tunes are the fruits of my disparate forays into writing music, and they are anything but specialised...unless you count being true to a creative instinct. 

You will find the whimsical and the dark, experimental edits of (very) old tunes and remixes of new ones, easy listening and ambient noise.

BLOWJANGLES: Legendary and colourful all-brass-and-percussion anarchic street/festival band

COWBELL RADIO Since April '12, has hosted the weekly Perfumed Garden show on cowbellradio.co.uk every other Wednesday 9-11pm

It has been my privilege to be the main organiser for The Perfumed Garden stage at the award winning BeatHerder Festival near Pendle Hill. The stage has had numerous names over the years including:
The Yurt Reynolds  (2009)
The Recovery Room (2008, 2010)
The Perfumed Garden (since 2011)

...and it provides a wonderful atmospheric platform for both emerging and well established, local and international artists and DJs.
