So I've gone and done it - I wrote a Christmas song. 

INSPIRED BY HUMBUGS

As a big fan of Victoria Wood I hope some of her comedy seeps into this jolly festive number.

LYRICS:

It comes but once a year and you ain’t fussed
You enjoy watching people in that festive rush
The lights were lit by some minor celebrity
Like that guy who had a line on last week’s Casualty

And you’re not drawn in to all this consumer bliss
You’d rather be on holiday
Somewhere tropical I bet.

You can’t bear 
To put up a tree
You can’t stand your family
The turkey’s always too dry and 
You’d much prefer something fried
You’re not in the mood 
And you don’t care if you come across rude

From the same old songs
That strangers knock at your door and ask you to sing along 
You can’t stand the idea
Of some old man
Breaking into your house and leaving you gifts you already have (Ho ho ho)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY. 

I wrote another Christmas song and it only took me the whole afternoon.

It's up there with Jingle Bells if you ask me or something by Slade.

NOTE: I made this on my new, under powered laptop, with none of my usual plugins or software. It is what it is.

I wrote this this afternoon. It's a sort of fusion between Blues/Funk/Country. Not in that order.

This isn't mastered or anything just my usual mixing chain stuff.
