John Gerard Walsh is an Irish composer and Songwriter. He composes music for Television, Film and Multimedia and is also the founding member of the band - "The Carnival Brothers". In his formative years, he studied classical guitar at the Irish Academy of Music while working with artists as a producer, arranger and session musician.
His television scores include the highly successful crime series ‘Proof', the award winning Short Films ‘Prey Alone’ and ‘Venom’ and his music has featured in a number of high profile commercials including the official campaign promoting the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and other international campaigns for clients such as Guinness, Heineken, Vodafone and the Dublin International Film Festival. His television work for the national Irish broadcaster (RTE) includes theme music for The Six Nations Rugby, Premier Soccer, Television News and The World Cup.
