The best part is that Elmer Bernstein wrote this music to be played by a big honkin' symphony orchestra of talented musicians -- and that's what we hear.  Ain't no solo artist faking it with a MIDI board.

Bernstein almost loses the thread here -- for a while it sounds like he's scoring a western instead of a war drama.
