A song I wrote a while ago. I sent out an instrumental track of this music several  months ago.I have video responded to this video with it. You can compare the two if you would like. I did not redo the video as it sets forth the idea of what I had in mind when I wrote the music and Lyns wrote her lyrics based on the video.  I love what Lyns added as it makes it a complete song. I asked Lyns if she would care to collaborate with me on the song with vocals and lyrics. She agreed and I was so happy that she did. I love her vocals and lyrics.  She is a very talented and nice person. She did all the vocal arrangements,harmonies and lyrics. She also mixed in the vocals. On another note,  Lyns just had a baby!  Just an outstanding effort I thank her for all the contributions. I have added her channels below, please take a listen, just great music. My son, Steve plays keyboard on the song. I play all guitars and the bass. Hope you enjoy it the collaboration. Thanks Lyns and Steve!  

YT sure has changed!!!! I wish it was the way it was in the old days. I don't have the time to be on too often and write music. I do play guitar most everyday but too exhausted to record. Hope to in the future. This song was completed in April but I just got around to sending out now. Whenever I come back there is another change. I do understand the elimination of the cover page art that we use to be able to send out. The sheer expense to store all those images had to be astronomical.  I liked it cause you could use the image to compliment whatever song you were featuring with a theme related to the song title and feel of the music.

All right, I have written another book,ha. Now that has not changed. I should just shut up,ha.

Steve is finished with High School and is starting college in September. I am so proud of him, he is a hard worker and I love him very much. I am lucky to have a son like  Steve. 

I don't want to leave without saying how much I love my daughter Danielle! I am equally as proud of all that she has done and how she carries on her life! She did nothing in the song but I want her to know I am always thinking of her. You can see the video of this song in YouTube

Shouldn't Feel This Way -  Original Song by Lynsey Cawthra and John892

This jam  ( actually 2 jams) was created on an online jam site - Ninbot.com. The other players are pipaxis and Creative.  Pip and I are both on guitar.  Two good player with great melodic sense.  We played over a loop but all else we added was spontaneous. On Ninbot.com all session are automatically recorded. Pip added compression to the jam and edited the 2 jams.  Ninbot is a free site.

Just fooling around with the chorus of the great 10 Years After song "I'd Love to Change the World" I just play over the chorus. There is no backing track. I did it in my style. All guitar parts you hear I played.  I created the chorus using my Digitech Rp355. I then download to Cuebase and looped it. I used one track for the guitar melody and then another to play off of the melody.  This song is not written by me, its a Alvin Lee and 10 Years After song. I am just covering it.

An original instrumental consisting of 29 tracks. Used Cubase LE4 to record. My son Steve, plays all the keyboards on this song. I play all the guitars and the bass. Not really sure why I chose the title. It truthfully just popped into my head. Sometimes I know I am at a loss for answers, that's for sure.  Why things happen or do not happen or how they might occur is a mystery to me. Sometime a delay of seconds make all the difference in the results. It always amazes me.

Night Rain

Just changed strings on my guitar. I love new strings the best. The twang they give out always inspires me. I love the brilliant tones from new strings. Using a Digitech RP355 for acoustic guitar simulation. My strings are good for around 2 weeks or so. Then they get dull. 

First mix on the song. In this recording, the primary track is the acoustic guitar part. I recorded that track and the  bass track in in stereo.   I then move the other tracks to left or right channel to augment and emphasize the main tracks.  A country ballad theme on this one. I recently listened  to a Kenny Chesney concert on YT which influenced me on this song. One of my favorite artists. Big Paisley and Urban fan as well. I enjoy country music. I still have to add a vocal and bits and pieces of other instruments.  A work in progress.

Tears of Time  - Collaboration Andy, Zuzanna & Ajohn13

An instrumental written, produced and mixed by AndyMc. This is a beautiful song, I believe. Andy is a very accomplished keyboard player and producer. I was fortunate to be able to contribute acoustic and electric slide guitar to the song. Andy and I have played together for a while online. Recently a new product came out called  Ohm Studio. Its allows collaborations to take place very easily.  The link is listed below if you are interested in more information on it. I discussed with Andy about making a video for this song and I told him about Zuzanna's YT channel. I collaborated on a video with Zuzanna recently. She created a beautiful video for one my songs. I told him how imaginative and talented she is.  I suggested to Andy about her doing the video for  this song and he agreed. She and Andy are both really nice and talented people. Very easy to work with and always open to all suggestions. The fact that they are both so talented along with their work attitude made this project a great experience for me.

Tears of Time

Hello all! I have been away a while. I just did not have it in me to do any videos.  Some probably wish I still felt that way, ha! Sorry! I hope to catch up with all as much as I can. I do always play music regardless of creating videos. Its my relaxation and meditation method. This is an instrumental piece, I wrote several months ago. I had not added the solo guitar until last week.Not much to describe in regards to the feelings in the music as you will get the idea from the images and the music, I hope. I know someone that is going through what the images and song attempt to transcend. I try to express it in my guitar playing and video.  Maybe this will help them realize all they had together and the feelings they had for each other. These things do not just vanish. True over time they diminish but if they were real feelings then something will always be inside. That is my belief.. I dedicate this song to them. I know my words are drippy and maybe some would think they are weak but its my feeling's inside. Some say just let things go but if you still have feelings, I think you try.  Okay, enough of my ranting and raving, ha. I know, nobody misses that! I have other versions of this song on my Soundcloud channel minus solo guitars. I hope to add vocals somewhere down the line to it.

Wondering About You - Added guitar solo

Hello, a little different direction than my recent music.  I had to get away from being sweet!!!! I was in a jam this weekend and this was the riff that was being played on the most part. A great keyboard player named Cyberdog was playing in it. That is his tag name online. He always comes up with great riffs. He inspired me to produce this effort. Its just Cm7/Ab/G major and a run up of bass notes B/D back to the Cm7. Simple but cool. Anyway to me I conjured up evil images, ha. Not that way in the jam but when I put it together with my son Steve, it came out that way. I love zombies and all of that stuff, ha. I found clips from a few great old movies. One is Carnival of Souls and the other is Its Alive. Anyways, hope the movie is not too gory,  Has a Latin under feel as well. Hope you like it!

Steve added all the cool synth sounds! Cool stuff I think.


I mixed in Cubase, I have all these new things but have not had the time to get into them so still doing things the old way! 

Recorded using Cubase using my Digitech RP355 as the interface. I added compression, reverb, effects ..etc. I doubled all the tracks, A total of 12 tracks. Steve used my Nocturn 25 keyboard and various VST;s.

I used Moviemaker for the video production . Not sure why the video is not stretching.
