"Las Vegas (US) and Utrecht (NL) based producers Alific and Inf teamed up on this global collaboration to make a tune to celebrate the start of a fresh year. The instrumental track called 'First Light' embodies a blend of the cinematic and triphop-esque vibes both producers are known for. The track was written over the course of a few months via email while both producers added their own unique styles by layering new elements into the mix and working off of eacother’s ideas and musical interests. The track also features Chris Hampton on Saxophone from the California Reggae band HIRIE.

Land Of Plenty Dub

On March 26th, 2014 the Brooklyn Attractors, including Victor Axelrod, Andy Bassford, Larry McDonald, Brett Tubin, Dan Jeselsohn, Eddie Ocampo, Buford O’Sullivan, Anant Pradhan, Luke Penella, and Rich Graiko came together to play a show at the Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn, NY. Thankfully the audio was captured by the crew at Shapeshifter Lab and subsequently made available for release. This became “LIVE IN BROOKLYN”, the ATTRACTOR’S sophomore album and a rare hifi glance into the modern underground NYC Jamaican Jazz scene. The following is the unedited audio from that evening.

Sara Lugo & Jazzrausch Bigband Release “Swing Ting”
The initial idea was to team up with Jazzrausch Bigband (JRBB) to deliver a Big Band
rendition of Sara Lugo’s hit single “Really Like You.” The original single features Protoje and an
infectious feel-good beat, courtesy of Silly Walks, that you just can’t resist. Umberto Echo,
Producer and partner in Oneness Records, was working on other projects with both Lugo and JRBB
earlier this year, and brokered negotiations for a more intricate collaboration. And so, the concept
for “Swing Ting” emerged.
Sara’s effortless sound blends Reggae, Soul and Hip Hop and is pleasing audiences
worldwide, with sold-out concerts in both the Americas and Europe. Jazzrausch Bigband is not only
the first Big Band ever to be resident in a Techno Club, but they also combine genres in a way no
other European ensemble does. They’re tremendously versatile with everything from classical, to
dubstep, to conceptual jazz and old-school swing. Their unique and energetic performance has
landed them on world-renowned stages like Lincoln Center in New York, the F4 Frequency Festival
and the Munich Philharmonie.
On “Swing Ting” Sara Lugo and JRBB journey on a musical adventure that impresses with
its variety and sophistication. With these interpretations of Lugo’s songs, a distinct musical
language has developed that comprises intimate ballads, groovy soul and brilliant Bigband swing.
Leonhard Kuhn’s rich and detailed arrangements allow for a fascinating balance that merges Sara’s
unique voice with JRBB’s universe of sound.
“Swing Ting” will be released on November 3, 2017 on the Oneness Records label, and will
be available via all major digital distribution channels.
