I used to busk in the Castle Square.

I'm sure a drummer would have made the toy reflex hammer I used to strike a bit of wood sound better and a bass player could get a better sound out of my acoustic bass with a missing string. The recording could have sounded great by someone who knows how to use my recording machine.  My three part harmony might sound nice done by a singer and the song would be better if written by Robyn Hitchcock. I had fun anyway

L'Emeraude

"Say That Again" features Pat Robinson... long time friend, fellow musician, and collaborative keyboardist from two wonderful albums from my past titled "OuterLimits" and "Origins".

This special track, created under unique circumstances, was originally published and featured on my secondary SoundCloud site "Audric & Friends" established in the year 2020, during the era known as the "Pandemic Lock-Down".

Thanks to the mutual inspiration I shared with a small handful of LOCAL musician friends of mine, approximately one dozen fun and creative instrumental tracks where created and published within a half-year time frame.
I refer to this special group of tracks collectively as the "JamTune" series.

Novembre Extensible

Our dog is getting on in age and has some health issues. She sleeps and sleeps and sleeps and sometimes has little micro-seizures. She won't be around forever, and when her time comes, I hope she will pass at home, in her sleep. "Our Dog." Written and performed by John David Lawson.

The cup of the sleepy morning was filled with dawn.
The birds are drinking dew, but I am no longer there.
It seemed that he lived, it seemed like he was singing.
It turned out that he was not brave enough.

I invented myself, wove it from fantasies,
But no one told me how to clothe me with flesh.
And my transparent phantom wandered around the world,
Moving like a fish with a dreamy mouth.

Like a snare the noisy world created mirages,
Filling the shelves with golden tinsel.
But it carried me into the distance, past lush shop windows,
Into the uninhabited wilderness of vast virgin lands.

Where one restless poet wanders

The churchyards were flooded with cold water.
In the abandoned wastelands there is a furious howl.
Looks at the sky with the pupils of crazy animals
On the crosses of ships drowned in darkness.

There is no refuge for us, there is no harbor in the abyss.
My poem strives towards the light like diamond dust.

...And it fades, unable to withstand the falseness.

I love to make new songs with smooth organic sounds and vocal harmonies that remind me of favourite bands from the 1970's. If you like Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, America, Neil Young, and Nilsson, you might enjoy this music too.
