New Vision

a few out takes from Dani Kirby and Mat Ward's weekly rehearsals at the legendary Rat Palace as we plot and stumble our way to a new full length album. We seem to have more riffs this year, less texture, more fuzz, less space. Fuck knows where these things come from, a couple we have stopped and thought about, others we just let flow. Hopefully towards the end of the year we will have decided whats what and have a new shiny thing out in the universe. Thanks as always for all the support : )

Hi guys, really proud today introducing a very fruitful collab with my friend Dirk Taubenheim from The Gatsbys. This song means a lot to me, as this is my very first song I partly wrote almost 15 years ago. I only finished music and arrangement last year, and considering the great welcome this song had from you all, I decided to carry on the work and write lyrics. 
Once it was finished, I offered Dirk to sing it, as I always thought he had the admirable rocky voice this song deserved. He accepted straight away to sing it, which was an honor for me considering his prolific songwriting career. Here is a new track I wrote and recorded.

The song was written as part of a concept album that I started a year or so ago. I may never actually record the full album but might release the songs over time. The album was going to be about my ancestors living in Newfoundland and the stories i heard over the years.

This one is about the story of how Braggs Island (where my grandfather was born) got its name. I heard the story from my late cousin Sam Feltham. He said there was a small community living on the Island and one tough winter they ran out of supplies and were in a bad way. A man named Bragg and his two sons loaded a boat with supplies and attempted to bring relief to them. In the process and storm developed and the ship sank and Bragg and his sons were drowned. They named the Island after them in honor of the selfless sacrifice they made.

I tried to capture with sound the feeling of sailing on icy seas. Also I wanted to tell the story in an artistic way. Not sure if the song is any good but hope some of you enjoy it.

Hello! I play guitar, bass and a bit of keys. Played in lots of bands over the years. Lately I'm focusing on recording (Logic Pro) instrumental music. I have many influences so what comes out is elements of Rock, Electronic, Ambient, Progressive and Indie.  Mostly improvised. My dream would be working on movie soundtracks. 
I will be posting as often as I can. I'm also open to collaborating with other musicians. Any and all comments welcome!
