Dongmyo Police Box - Seoul Syndrome (John Gaska Remix)

John Gaska is an American music producer, remixer, artist, and DJ based in South Korea.  Since moving to the country in 2010, John has steadily built a name for himself releasing music and playing shows all over.  While his production spans several genres including dance, hip hop, and orchestral, he primarily sticks to electro house for his DJ sets.  A fan of “controllerism”, John has an interesting approach to live DJing.  With his array of equipment and the ability to mix, mash, and morph tracks on the fly, his listeners will always get something different.

In 2012, he independently released the single “Justified Gravity” and later a remix album, “Justified Gravity: The Remixes“.  The album features six South Korea-based producers of past and present: Jon Lockley, Aaron Cho, Sentmode, Dan Luba, Helix Squared, and B Jinx.

When not performing solo, John Gaska is busy rocking crowds with Houston, TX rapper Caliph Knight as Samba Mamba.  The dynamic duo offers lyrical precision on top of diverse productions produced by JG himself.  With tracks like “Ajumma” and “Soju”, they are quickly becoming a local favorite.  John Gaska is also featured as a weekly guest on GFN 98.7 FM’s “In the Mix“.  John discusses electronic music with Travvy G for the “House Party” on Friday nights from 9-10 PM local time.


John Gaska(존 가스카)는 한국에서 활동하고 있는 미국인 음악 프로듀서, 리믹서, 아티스트, 디제이이다. 2010년에 한국으로 온 이래로 음악을 발매하고 전국적으로 무대를 가지면서 유명세 타고있다. 그는 그의 작품들에 댄스, 힙합, 오케스트라와 같은 다양한 장르들을 어우름과 동시에 우선적으로 일렉트로닉 하우스 뮤직을 디제이 세트 적극 활용한다.
Controllerism를 좋아하는 그는 흥미로운 방식으로 디제이를 한다.
그의 음악을 듣는 이들은 그가 소유하고 있는 음악 장비와 함꼐 그가 트랙들을 믹스, 매쉬, 변화시키는 재능으로 인해 항상 색다른 느낌의  받을 것이다.
