As you would expect of someone called Lovefingers, American DJ and producer Andrew Hogge has a very special touch when it comes to making, playing and releasing emotionally involving, blissed out music. Hailing from LA, he runs the magical ESP Institute label and is also half of The Stallions as well as being a self-proclaimed hippie. That always comes through in the organic, loved up music he works with, and visual aesthetics always seem just as important to him as musical ones. 

The romantic and intoxicating mix he serves up is dedicated to Red Light Records owner Tako Reyenga and Mule Musiq affiliate Kuniyuki Takahashi. It is a loose-limbed, love-fuelled and fully horizontal delight made up of underlapping grooves, oriental motifs and gluey pads. The second half touches on more physical drums but also offers up yet more heavenly ambiance, bird song and jumbled percussion that will have you reaching for your shades and dreaming of summer.

Hypnotic Groove guest mix #132 comes from the brilliant Borusiade!

Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania and now residing in Berlin, Borusiade aka Miruna Boruzescu started dj-ing in 2002 as one of the only female DJs in the city's emerging alternative clubbing scene. 

Inﬂuenced by a classical musical education and fascinated by raw electronic sounds Borusiade combined these elements in the construction of her DJ sets and starting 2005 also in her music production. 
After experimenting with different projects, Borusiade slowly crystalized a sound of her own, often dark, with poignant bass lines, obsessive themes and by all means melodic.

Her DJ sets combine bold and obscure sounds and genres fluctuating mostly in the field of Dark Disco, EBM, tropical mutants with an Acid touch. The sound is gloomy and powerful, with beats that touch one’s deepest senses on the dance floor.

2015 she joined the label Cómeme and hosts The Dreamcatcher on Radio Cómeme.

Hypnotic Groove Mix #132 - Borusiade

Lee Gamble is one of the most adventurous producers, label bosses and DJs in the electronic world. Over the course of four album projects and many EPs he has explored the ghost of jungle, abrasive ambient and textural techno in thrilling and compelling ways. Formerly releasing on Pan, he now heads up his own UIQ label and with it has curated some of techno’s most exciting new sounds. As well as DJing, he is behind a regular NTS radio show and tours a mesmeric live A/V show that always encourages you to escape and get lots in unfamiliar musical worlds. 

The two hour mix he serves up for is the freaky, left of centre post-rave adventure you would expect. It’s disorientating and non linear. Initially it focuses on texture and mood more than groove, then his jungle roots bubble up, and just as you think you know where you are going, Gamble pulls back and descends into bleak cinematic soundtracks. Unpredictable and wilfully contrary, like his own challenging productions it is a masterclass in sonic subversion that reveals more with each new listen.

DJ Cityboy from Seoul, Cozyhoon, Youngisland 가 소속되어 있으며 , 서울 이태원을 중심으로 활발히 활동하고 태국,일본등에서의 플레이를 통해 그 영역을 넓혀가고 있는 중이다.

 
2020 11 21 첫 컨필레이션 앨범을 발매, 로컬 씬의 새로운 아티스트들을 소개하고 협업을 통해 다양한 색깔과 방향성을 제시.


그들의 첫 컴필레이션 앨범에는 Fredcoste, RTRP, Maki from Underground, Moeuv가 참여하여 각자의 개성을 살린 사운드들로 채워 로컬 씬과 서대문 뉴웨이브가 어떻게 변화되어 가는 모습을 보여줄수 있을지 주목된다.





Seodaemun New Wave is an underground label that focuses on Indie Dance (electronic music) genres based on underground scenes in Seoul, Korea.

DJ Cityboy from Seoul, Cozyoon, and Youngisland, the members of this label, they have been contributed in Itaewon, Seoul and debuted at clubs in Bangkok and Tokyo. Plus, this will lead even wider.

On the 21st of November 2020, the very first compilation album will be released and introducing new artists from the local scene. 

Also this will present various colors and directions through collaboration. 

In this very first compilation album, Fredcoste, RTRP, Maki from Underground, and Moeeuv participated together and filled their individuality with sounds to show how the local scene and Seodaemun New Wave are changing.
