Beautiful Day

Born and raised in Southern Ohio then drawn to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Central Virginia John Howard has coupled both his knowledge of the Ohio Appalachian lifestyle with the traditions of the Old Dominion to bring us his original brand of Mountain Folk Music & Art. Since chilhood John has written and played music while doodling away in a drawing pad leading him to adopt once hobbies into a lifestyle of artistic work. 

Along with some of Central Virginia's finest musicians John helped create both Yankee Dixie and HoboJac. These projects have given way to playing alongside many wonderful talents and legends of our time. Johns travels have taken him all over the East Coast and into the Midwest opening for acts such as the iconic Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Yarn, Tift Merritt and Terrance Simien his travels include playing festivals and TV/radio shows such as DelFest, Roosterwalk, The Festy Experience, Strings & Spirits, Red Wing Roots, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Campout East, Misty Mountain Music Festival, The Blue Plate Special, Acoustic Sunrise (WNRN) Virginia this Morning (WTViR) and many more.
