Over the past few years, @iamkipnelson has been hopping back and forth between Texas and California. He's a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who records all of his music at home, currently based in Austin. Kip's a rocker lost in the pop sensibilities of a psychedelic dream state. Psyche and pop are alive in the soundscape that embodies his music, particularly his brand new song ‘Hindsight' which combines fender reverbed guitars and cutting synths along with modern sidechain mixing and 90's rhythms. This song is about a once vivid memory of a moment that has since washed out and warped through time.

Influenced by his childhood idols (João Gilberto, Tom Jobim…) and by Rio de Janeiro’s famous carnaval, ‘Chuva de Verão’ is Pedro Mizutani’s second single from his upcoming EP, Aperana. Imagining himself wandering in his neighborhood, Leblon, the young Bossa Nova singer invites us to reflect upon the idealization and ephemerality of love, upon the beauty of summer flings and their intensity. The American singer, songwriter and producer A.M. Son is releasing the very first single of his upcoming album, called ‘No One Else’. Originally a guitarist – who recently worked with Omar Apollo and Marina Allen –, the young artist found inspiration during the pandemic to write about love, escapism, death and hope. ‘No One Else’ is a first glimpse into the feel good indie-pop universe he built.

In the corner of his small bedroom in Somerville, Massachusetts, Luke Reed of Bent Shapes and Mini Dresses spends most nights quietly writing and recording solo material ranging from quiet and deliberate meditations, to summery jangle pop. Over the years, Luke has amassed a prolific collection of lonely and disenchanted pop songs, seldom released.

"Ordinary" is Luke's second solo single of the year – a dancey dream pop song that follow's his ultra lo-fi "I'm Dreaming" single. Last year, The Native Sound re-released Luke Reed’s debut LP ‘Won’t Be There’. Initially self-released on Bandcamp last summer with no promotion, or even album art, 'Won't Be There' is a set of 16 lo-fi indie rock songs.
