A songwriting balladeer with soaring melodies and acoustic sweetness mixed with vibes of home and sunlight draw you into the charm of John Newsome’s music. With three independently released albums receiving National airplay and appearances on Channel 9s “Wesley Impact” John’s music is sure to inspire. Calling Newcastle NSW home, his songs are personal stories and experiences of faith, hope and family. He is a song writer and educator with a passion to write songs that engage your spirit, cause it to soar and give the experiences of faith and life a song to cling too. Singing from a young age and drawn inexplicably to create, his passion is evident on songs across all his work. He and his vocalist wife, Mindy once packed up their young family for a 6 month big lap around Australia, connecting with audiences and personally delivering CDs to radio stations all over. He has a love for free camps and country Australia, singing in churches and schools where music might now reach. Balancing being a Primary school music teacher with a songwriter has its challenges, yet his determination to live his calling inspires many. Of course, he is a humble bloke who just wants to sing new songs and go places with them which is why writing about himself in the third person doesn’t really suit his style.
