In 1996 I was one of the founders of this Queen cover band and up till 2009 I was the lead singer.

In 2002 Dutch radio DJ Frits Spits started a petition to get Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody off the number one position of the yearly Top 2000. The song was on that position 13 times. 
Listeners of his radio show started to protest, because it's a democratic list and if the song is chosen they deserve it. 
Frits apologized and said he would write Dutch lyrics to Borhap as a tribute. Miracle's guitarist Rudi de Jong emailed Frits and said that Miracle could record it  for him. Frits contacted me and together we came to an agreement and recorded the song in 4 evenings. 
Before the Top 2000 started in 2002  - Frits always gave the starting signal - he dedicated an hour of honoring Bohemian Rhapsody and we as a band were the special guests. During that hour he proudly presented "Boheemse Spijtoptant'.

In 2002 famous radio DJ Frits Spits tried to influence the voting for the annual Top 2000. Top 2000 a list with all times favourites and is broadcasted around Christmas untill number 1 is reached at 23:59 at New Years Eve. For 13 years Bohrap by Queen was number one! 
Frits tried to get people to vote for another song so that the famous Queen song would not be number 1 again! Listeners of that radiostation started to protest that it is a democratic list and no one should try to get people to vote for something else. 
Frits apologized and said he would write an alternative Dutch text to Bohemian Rhapsody as an apology and called it 'Boheemse Spijtoptant'. 
The guitarist of Miracle, Rudi de Jong mailed the studio and informed them about Miracle and that we could put those lyrics to music if he wanted us. After Frits contacted me I sent him a live CD to prove we were not just a average band. Frits called me back after two days and was super enthusiast. He got us into a professional studio with a producer and everything was filmed. The DJ joined us every evening we recorded and we had loads of fun. It was all a secret and the day before Christmas the song was introduced to the listeners. We received loads of compliments. 

All instruments and all vocal parts are done by the band, track by track. No harmony effects were used whatsoever.

99 Luftballons

I set up my computer again with the program Tracktion. Got a new audio-interface: Behringer U-PHORIA UMC404HD. Got Tracktion for free when I registered the Behringer device. 
So now I used a karaoke file of Baker Street and recorded my vocals, using my T-Bone SCT-800 microphone.
Just a try-out, nothing fancy!

Like most baby's Johnnie's first word was Mama ... mind you, not spoken, but by singing the song 'Mama' from child star Heintje. 

Since then loads of bands, projects, studio recordings came by. Never made it into the professional music scene, because he was so stupid to reject a couple great oppertunities. Oh well, luckily he never 'gave up his daytime job'.  

Johnnie is still interested and up for musical projects, studio work. If it has to do with vocals, he's your man.
