John Slender a.k.a John Kanakis was born on the island of Salamis. From his childhood he was always involved in the fields of music. His uncle was also a key influence for him becauce he was a local dj. John started listening and searching electronic music at the age of 16. Then, at the age of 18 he started djing at parties, local bars and beach bars. He quickly gained reputation because of his unique style and music choices. The following years he enriched his style with genres such as Electronica,Techno, Dub Techno and Minimal sounds in general which made him more integrated in music. His sound now could be characterized deep with massive basslines, powerfull and dancy, with spacy elements and emotional vocals. His main priorities are the expression of his feelings and the music trip of his audience. His love for vinyl records and his recent occupation with music production is something wothwile to mention!
