Six Shrike Shrines in the Valley of the Time Tombs of Hyperion are located in an area on a planet and is central to the story in the series "Tour of the River Tethys". These are my impressions of some of the worlds in the SciFi series Hyperion by Dan Simmons. The Shrines are the subject and destination of a pilgrimage of future society to understand the mysterious Shrike which has terrorized the planet and to which all society depends on it's future..and past.

An instrumental with various styles, tempi and time signatures that threads several melodic themes into a composition I have come to like quite a lot!  I hope you find it fun.
I especially the last section which -to me- has a Queen-like waltz feeling. Brian May, Astrophysicist, my hat's off to you!

Crew is an instrumental composition I wrote before the shuttle was launched and re-recorded recently.
It is a sort of tribute to the brave persons that have pushed themselves physically, mentally and spiritually to join others in the early pulsing steps toward the future in the journey of humans off-world.

Drowning

A performing musician for decades, Johnny has hit the recording studio to capture the influences acquired over the years. He currently writes, sings all parts, plays all the instruments, records the tracks, Mixes and Masters the final results. He is a Classically trained Bassist playing Double Bass, Fretted, Fretless Electric and Acoustic Bass, Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Keyboards and Digital Drums as well as Baritone Vocals. Collaboration and sponsorship is always a welcome addition in these efforts. 
Johnny performs on a regular basis with the Washington DC area based band called Misspent Youth (www.misspentyouth.com), PLays Double Bass with the NIH Community Orchestra and plays Bass and sings with The Rockville United Church Church choir.. 
Between the hard work, he teaches classes and maintains a Cleanroom at the Nanocenter of the University of Maryland. 
He writes, records and produces his own original music and is looking to collaborate with similarly inclined musicians
