AZ originated as a "free-rock" trio by guitarist-composer Johnny Alegre, bassist Dondi Ledesma and drummer Paolo Manuel. The passing of Ledesma caused the surviving duo to transform into an indie pop-rock-fusion experiment. This historic soundboard recording of AZ's early lineup introduces the band's vocalist Mia Tengco for the first time, at the 2010 Philippine International Jazz Festival, with Gareth Somers playing bass.
