Let’s Get The Party Started (feat. Bring Me The Horizon)

Warren goes over the history of Eddie Van Halen and how his legacy has significantly impacted the music industry. Warren and Jamie Humphries also explain the technicalities behind Eddie’s guitar playing and how unique and different it is.&nbsp; Van Halen had only recently been signed to Warner at the time of Fowly’s review, and the Los Angeles band hadn’t yet released their landmark debut album. But they had created a tremendous following in the Los Angeles area with a massive heavy metal sound emerging from a small three piece band (David Lee Roth fronted the group as a consummate showman, but left the instrumental part to Eddie on guitar, Eddie’s brother Alex on drums and Michael Anthony on bass). By the time the band released their eponymous first album in February of 1978, Van Halen was poised for almost-certain commercial success. But nothing could have prepared audiences for the album’s completely instrumental second track, “Eruption,” in which Eddie groundbreaking guitar playing was showcased, full-force, for the world to see. I kick things off by showing off my brand-new guitar stand and giving you a fresh look at the rearranged studio—the guitars have never looked better. We jump right into guitar talk, and I reveal my latest impulse buy: an Ernie Ball red guitar strap (which, of course, I quickly realized I didn’t even need 😅). That leads to a deep dive into my guitar strap collection, many of which were still attached to guitars now proudly displayed on the new stands.

I also bring out my Danelectro Eric Clapton model for a close-up, while Ron shares stories about the Seymour Duncan pickups in his guitars. From there, we take a nostalgic turn—sharing memories from our old bands.

I dig into my time with The May Fire, showing never-before-seen photos & videos from gigs at Hollywood, Chicago, SXSW & Antone's Nightclub in Austin, Silver Lake Lounge in LA, and Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco. I even break out a couple of my stage warriors from those days: my 1983 Hamer A5 Phantom and my Fender Telecaster ’72 Reissue Custom.

Ron brings the heat with photos from his previous band, and we wrap up with a heartfelt trip down rock ’n’ roll memory lane. 🎶🔥

Today we have a full on legend on the show. Guitar God, Riff Master and Rock N Roll Hall of Famer, Mr Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. It was an honor to sit down with Brad last week in Las Vegas where they are in the middle of their Deuces are Wild&nbsp;residency at the MGM Park. Brad is what I call the glue of Aerosmith. His Rhythm and Lead playing have been the inspiration of many guitar gods today including Slash of Guns n Roses. Brad also wrote some of the great Aerosmith classic like Last Child, Nobody's Fault, Kings and Queens and many many more.
