After years of enigmatic silence, Art Department makes a triumphant return with “Paper Cuts”, a poignant and musically rich four-track EP out June 6th on RAWAX. At the heart of this release is the title track, a collaboration with Greg Paulus (son of the late composer Stephen Paulus), which stands out as a romantic house anthem layered with jazz-infused soul.

“Paper Cuts” drips with sentiment and finesse—its lush harmonies and deep, romantic atmosphere create a cinematic listening experience. The bassline is meticulously executed, grounding the composition with a warm groove that resonates deeply. Paulus’s inspired vocal takes, born from childhood memories of Bobby McFerrin writing music in his home, add an intimate and nostalgic layer to the track, making it both timeless and emotionally captivating.
