Giyo - Petrichor
Today I'm 37 years old, and I wanted to celebrate my birthday by releasing a track.
"Petrichor": the smell of rain when it first begins to fall on dry ground.

One of my favourite smells, and a very nostalgic one. 
It brings back memories that you thought were long forgotten.
A cool breeze on a warm summer evening  that carries the scent of rain to come. 

I've had a stressful few months for a variety of reasons, enough stress that it affected my ability to make music and I went through a horrible period of extreme writer's block and self sabotage. 

My mood was as black as the night sky and my music was showing it, too. 
I started to write, ruin, destroy and finally delete everything I worked on. My diary took a hammering, too.

I don't really know how Petrichor came to be, I just smelled it on the air one evening and felt a calm wash over me.

I hope you enjoy it and I hope it brings you some calm if you need it.
